IL-2 and IL-15 are able to induce the phosphorylation of ERK1/2. probably via PI3K pathway.
MKK/ERK pathway is necessary for IL-2 to activate NK cells to express at least four known biological responses: LAK generation, IFN-gamma secretion, and IL2RA (CD25) and CLEC2C(CD69) expression.
